Using Named Ranges in Google Spreadsheets

Named ranges, a recent update for Google Spreadsheets, allow you to use a range throughout different sheets, formulas etc. and then update that range from one location. It’s a very powerful feature that brings Google Spreadsheets closer to replacing Excel, in my opinion.

  2. I want to create a master spreadsheet in google and have 14 separate sheets feed into it. All documents need to be able to be edited with results showing up on both master and seperte sheet. Is this possible? If so, how do I do it? Thanks for your help!

    Are you sure you clicked on “Data” and then selected “named and protected ranges?” Im not sure why the panel wouldn’t appear, but if this is still not working for you, email me and maybe I can figure out what the problem is.
