Google recently announced a brand new Create Menu for Google Drive. This update has a slightly different appearance, but the biggest takeaway is the improved integration with Drive-enabled apps.
While the old Drive Create Menu only allowed users to create one of Google’s own apps. the new menu makes your 3rd-party apps much more visible and accessible. It will be interesting to see if this change increases the popularity of these apps, which would be great news for developers.
Users also have the ability to open a file in a number of formats. For example, an image file can be opened with the standard Google Drive viewer, or it can be opened with any number of the photo-editing apps available.

How to disconnect apps from google drive if you no longer want the app

To disconnect apps from your Drive, click on the gear in the top-right corner of the Drive page and select Manage apps.
When you decided which Apps you want to disconnect, click on the Options icon to the right and select Disconnect from Drive.
But where did the Create from Template Gallery option go?

Creating from a template is a bit different now. You have to open up a document and then create from a template within. For example, if you open up a Doc, select File > New > From template.
Not quite as easy, but the feature is still there.

I have more apps than can be displayed in a single page of the Create menu. I have seen snapshots on other’s webpages that there should be multiple pages of apps in the Create menu. I don’t have this. I have tried updating Chrome; this didn’t fix it. Any suggestions?

If you’re using a Mac, you can take a screen shot with the keyboard shortcut Command+Shift+4 which will save the image to your desktop. You can then upload it to Drive and share it or email it to gooru@gooruvideos.
If you’re using a PC, I suggest downloading Jing which allows you to easily take a screen shot and share it with a unique URL via screencast.com
If you’re up to it, either of those options will help me provide you with an answer.
