Gooru Tip - Maximize the video player and adjust video quality for optimal viewing!
With the recent announcement of offline editing and creation for Google Presentations, we thought it would be a good time to discuss one of Presentations best features. Inserting images and videos is easy because their are multiple ways to do so. Learn about each one in this video.
Will the video start when the slide comes up, or does it require user intervention?
Jim,
The video will require user intervention to play.
I also like using the research tool to drag and drop images into Documents and presentations.
How do I embed a video from teacher tube or one that I have downloaded onto my desktop?
As of now, you can only insert a video from YouTube or by providing a URL.
For the video file on your computer, I would suggest uploading it to YouTube then inserting the video as instructed in the video. If you’re considered about having a video on YouTube, simply set the Privacy option to Private.
If you would like to embed a video from another website just provide the URL when trying to insert a video.
Hi, just wondering how do you get your embedded video to play in HD (or the highest quality) when you are doing a slide presentation?
I understand that you can play the video, then hit the cog to choose the best quality, but this would be awkward whilst showing the presentation to others. Just wondering if there is a preset somewhere?
TIA,
Ian
If I want to show only a portion of the youtube video, is there a way for me to specify the desired start and end times? Thank you.
Mrs. Jabon,
While viewing the video on it’s YouTube Page, select the ‘Share’ link below the video. This will provide with a shortened URL.
Next to the URL, you’ll notice a checkbox with text that says ‘Start at:’. Click the checkbox and specify the time in the video you would like it to start.
